Follow Leila on her quest to save her hometown from the creeping evil infesting the surrounding countryside. Navigate a world that wanders between dream and reality, sanity and madness, and uncover the secret of the longest night and the monstrous entities invading their world.
@Zach1122 I agree. I had the same experience and found the game to ultimately be unplayable. The load times are the longest I've encountered on the Switch. The game also crashes every hour or two and then you're dealing with an initial load time of 3+ minutes, plus whatever load times you need to go through to get back to where you left off. This was the first game I requested a refund for through Nintendo and they made a one time exception. I'm surprised to see NL give this a 7. I would give it a 3-4.

Vigil: The Longest Night is a two-dimensional platform metroidvania with a high level of difficulty, in which we play as the last of The Vigil's fraternity members on a dark journey to understand why there's an eternal night in the world. It was developed by Glass Heart Games studio and released by Another Indie known for games like Lost Castle, Simulacra and Yuppie Psycho.
In Vigil: The Longest Night we play the role of Leila, the last member of The Vigil brotherhood, who, in order to save her home village attacked by the forces of evil and to understand the reason why there is only one time of day - night - sets off and wanders on the verge of reality and sleep. The fact that the forces of darkness and her own sister are hunting her down does not make things any easier. How the adventure ends is up to us, because there are several endings in the game. 2ff7e9595c
